Today, let’s take a look at Innate Health Chiropractic and Wellbeing, a new and growing company in the heart of Exeter, ran by Jake Neil.
Jake Neil originally studied at Bournemouth Chiropractic College, before working in Amsterdam for 7 years and returning to the United Kingdom shortly after Covid 19.
What got Jake into this line of work is really inspiring, one day in South Africa, when a horse needed medical assistance, Jake saw a horse chiropractor appear and was immediately curious, inspired and fascinated by this person. From that day, he knew what we wanted to do with this his life.
At Innate Health Chiropractic, it’s not just about “helping people with pain” but it’s about “helping them with their lives”. Often people show up to a chiropractic clinic after being in pain for years and years, which makes you wonder: why did they not seek help earlier on? And the answer, according to Jake, is simple: individuals often seek help when their pain starts interfering with a particular activity. For example, a person of a great age might have back pain for 5 years, and suddenly they can’t pick up their grandchildren anymore…. It’s at this point that help feels unavoidable and very necessary.
This is what explains the passion behind Jake’s profession, it’s when you receive feedback explaining people can finally go back to doing what they love, not just that their pain has gone away. There is a much more personal and sentimental approach when practicing this line of work.
Jake’s view when asked about being an entrepreneur was very interesting. He explains that behind chiropracting there is real mentorship “phase” to go through before moving on and opening your own clinic. Very few will leave university to instantly open a clinic, even less will succeed. This is why the first four of five years were focused on mastering the skills for Jake, once these techniques are acquired and this knowledge is confirmed, it makes the business side much easier to handle, therefore, succeeding will be easier.
How does their work help you?
Unfortunately, there is a minority of clinics who focus on volume of clients, not the quality of service. In some industries, this is acceptable, however, in the chiropractic world, the more personal side and the genuine intent to help people’s lives is essential. Innate Health Chiropractic and Wellbeing focus more than anything on their quality of service, making every appointment unforgettable.

The main goal for this company is to build up a very respectable reputation. From what we have picked up after speaking to the owner and looking through the feedback this business receives, this goal seems to be just around the corner!
