Hello again, everyone, who is ready for another review of your local businesses?
Today, we're going to talk about a company called RMP Landscaping, directed by Richard Phillips.
This company has now been going for about 12 years, so this is definitely not a new and growing company, it is a successful and experienced one.
RMP Landscaping is known for their versatility, their customer service is very high-end and this is recognised by the customers - they will always go the extra mile to satisfy their clients, making sure that the end result is exactly what they were looking for.
Rich and his team specialise in hard landscaping, they are very talented when it comes to anything like fencing, decking, patios, artificial grass, composite decking. On the other hand, they avoid the soft side, this isn't their specialty, so they focus all of their effort on the hard side of things.
Generally, the team will go within 10-15 miles of Exeter. They stay very local seeing as the demand is there, meaning there is enough work to stay busy.
RMP Landscaping currently has a team of 3 that do all of the work, including Richard. Previously, there has been up to 8 people working for the company at the same time. However, it has been easier for them to focus and promote efficiency with a smaller team.
Like a lot of people in this industry, or even in labour trades in general, trust is something that is hard to gain early on. When it is your first job, earning someone's trust can be hard and can really slow down certain businesses. Rich says he has been quite lucky in this respect, people have always trusted him, meaning the early days weren't as hard as expected.
As I mentioned earlier on, RMP Landscaping is known for their customer service, this is what really separates them from their competition. They are described as "friendly and fair, but incredibly hard working when the job start". Richard realises how important it is to create a relationship with his clients, for example, leaving a job and staying in contact with some of them, making sure they are 100% satisfied with the final product, getting to know the client initially, etc. We think this has made a big difference in the businesses' journey as it is the single best way to get referrals, positive reviews, and in turn, more work in the future. This would explain the "snowball" effect of this company - as more and more satisfied customers get talking, more and more new customers start enquiring.
As a whole, we would definitely recommend RMP Landscaping for any work you may need in Exeter and its surrounding areas. We think you will be very satisfied with the work itself, the customer service, the entire experience basically.
